MLSoC Wage Assistantship Application
Complete this form to be included in the application pool for the following roles in the Myers-Lawson School of Construction (MLSoC). These roles are open to undergraduate and graduate students.
- Lab Assistant (LA) - Support MLSoC lab functions
- Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (UTA) - Support BC and CEM undergraduate classroom instruction
- Research Assistant (RA) - Support faculty research
- Administrative Assistant (AA) - Supports office administration, events, outreach and marketing activities
Compensation, Workload, Schedule: Wage assistants are paid on an as-needed, hourly basis. Current compensation rates vary from $12-17/hour based on experience and tenure in the position. These positions do not provide tuition/fee remission or healthcare benefits.

- Letter of Reference (optional) - Provided only by a referee who has direct knowledge of your prior performance in your role(s) of interest. References may be external to VT.
Timeline: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis by faculty and program administrators as positions open. Positions open periodically throughout the academic and summer semesters. You will be contacted by the position's supervisor for an interview if selected.
