Dean's Diversity Assistantship Nomination Form
Faculty are encouraged to nominate prospective students who add to the diversity of the department. Preference is given to students who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education such as first generation, low income, racial/ethnic minorities, and women in STEM.
Funding is provided by the Graduate School and matched by the department to support the student's regular departmental assistantship rate and in-state tuition; the out-of-state fee is waived.
Students are responsible for paying their comprehensive fees.
Master's and doctoral level students are eligible for this award, however preference is given to doctoral candidates. The number of awards may vary from year to year. Departments can nominate up to 3 people.
To be eligible, students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents entering their first year of graduate study.
