Thank you for registering for the Saco Collaging and Climate Change Workshop, which will consist of two sessions in the Deering Room at the Dyer Library in Saco. The first session will happen on Saturday, March 7th from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM (this differs from the flyer), and the second session will happen on Tuesday, March 10th from 5 -7:30 PM. Food and drinks will be provided at each workshop.
This workshop is part of a study entitled “Envisioning Climate Futures through Community Collaging Workshops” that is being conducted by Dr. Jenn Brousseau, Sarah Gorham, Allie Morse, and Elizabeth Erskine at the University of New England (UNE). This online questionnaire will function as your registration for the workshop and will also contribute to the research project at UNE.
This study aims to explore how collaging can influence future climate visioning in communities in southern Maine and how collaging workshops impact participants. By joining the workshop, you consent to participate in the research study. We do ask that all participants commit to attending both workshop sessions. The first session will include an introduction to the research and individual artmaking related to experiences with climate change. The second session will be focused on collaborative collaging about future visions for your community in the face of climate change and discussions intended to prompt future action. Please also read over the Participant Information Sheet for details about other elements of the research process that you can opt into or consent to (follow-up interviews, displaying of art in an exhibit post workshop): https://tinyurl.com/UNEcollaging
All answers to questions within this survey will be kept strictly confidential within the research team at UNE. Your identity will not be associated with any of these survey responses. We expect the survey to take roughly 15 minutes.
