Bee-friendly Beef: Developing Biodiverse Grazing Systems in Virginia Producer Survey

Dear Beef Producer,

Researchers at Virginia Tech are looking into the use of native warm-season grass and wildflowers to enhance the biodiversity of grazing systems in Virginia. As part of this research project, we invite you and other beef producers to provide your views.

This survey should take no more than 10 minutes of your time. Your participation is voluntary. Your responses will be kept confidential. Data will be stored securely and made available only to researchers conducting the study. In any reports, publications, or presentations summarizing the results of the survey, all data will be aggregated so that it will be impossible to identify responses from any individual respondent (farm or agribusiness). You may decline to participate without penalty. If you do participate, you may withdraw at any time. If you choose to withdraw before data collection is complete, your data will be deleted.

INSTRUCTIONS: This survey should be completed by the principal decision-maker of your farm business.  Answer each question with the response you believe is most representative of you and your farm.

If you have questions regarding your rights as a research participant, contact the Virginia Tech HRPP Office at 540-231-3732 (irb@vt.edu).

We thank you in advance for your participation in this important study. Our contact information is provided below if you have any questions regarding the survey.
