Understanding How to Protect Teens From
Online Unwanted Sexual Solicitations

This study aims to better understand how parents and teens respond to online interactions. Specifically, we are interested in learning about you and your teen's perceptions of what makes some vulnerable or protective responses to an online unwanted sexual solicitation event. Participant confidentiality will be strictly maintained. Your contributions are critical to understanding the risks of cybergrooming. This study is conducted by Virginia Tech (IRB #: 24-1051). Please answer the following questions, and if eligible, our research team will arrange a short (5-minute) Zoom meeting with parent/legal guardian and teen for consent process.
